FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Deputies say two suspects already charged in a separate drive-by shooting now face charges in another drive-by shooting in Florence County.

Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Deontavis Williams, 21, of Florence, and Dakarius Claiborne, 17, of Darlington, in connection with a drive-by shooting last week.

Claiborne and Williams are accused of shooting into a victim’s vehicle on East National Cemetery Road from a vehicle.

Both have been charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators said the Florence Police Department charged the two, along with a third suspect, in a separate shooting into a home on Maxwell Street in the city of Florence.

According to police, a residence was hit by gunfire about 17 times while five people, including two juveniles, were inside.

Police said no injuries were reported.

Investigators allege the three were involved, and each was charged with five counts of attempted murder, aggravated breach of peace and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Police said witness information, video evidence and FLOCK cameras were used during the investigation to help locate the suspects.

An arrest warrant states police reviewed video that showed a suspect shooting at the home and then running away before a black Dodge Ram was seen speeding to the area.

The warrant states investigators later located the truck through FLOCK cameras. The owner of the vehicle told police she saw the suspects with it before and after the shooting, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit also states one of the suspects’ ankle monitor placed him in the area at the time of the shooting and that the suspect told the vehicle owner to give police someone else’s name.

All three suspects remain booked at the Florence County Detention Center as of writing.
