1 dead after shooting in Darlington County

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - One person is dead after a shooting in the Darlington County area on Monday.
According to a news release from Sheriff Michael August, deputies responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Piano Road and South Charleston Road.
Upon arrival, deputies found a person with severe injuries.
Darlington County EMS responded and notified the Darlington County Coroner.
Officials say it appears to be an isolated shooting incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
