Deputies: Juvenile among 3 arrested in Florence County armed robbery

FLORENCE, S.C. (WMBF) - A juvenile is among those arrested Sunday after a reported armed robbery in the Pee Dee.

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the Suburban Extended Stay on West Lucas Street at around 4 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery.

Shortly after arriving at the scene, deputies reportedly located and detained a suspect at a nearby hotel who was wearing clothes matching the victim’s description.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect, identified as a juvenile, was armed with a handgun and had the victim’s wallet in their possession.

The juvenile is now charged with armed robbery and was transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia. Two other arrests were made, but no additional details were made available on those arrests and potential charges.

The FCSO said the incident remains under investigation as of Sunday evening.
