White House press secretary Leavitt announces return from maternity leave

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Two months after welcoming her second child, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was back behind the podium.

On Thursday, Leavitt held her first press conference since the end of April.

Kicking off her remarks, Leavitt said, “Let’s get back to work.”

Leavitt noted her husband stayed home with their 2-year-old son and newborn daughter.
