Grand Strand Regional to offer childbirth classes

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Grand Strand Regional Medical Center has announced a series of childbirth education classes for the month of February.

A day-long Prepared Childbirth course will take place Feb. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The $50 class fee includes lunch.

A three week Prepared Childbirth course will begin at 7 p.m. on Feb. 7 and will continue on Feb. 21 and Feb. 28. The fee for this course is also $50. Both include a tour of the maternity unit.

HealthFinders at Coastal Grand Mall will be offering an InfantCare class on Feb. 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as well as a breastfeeding class on Feb. 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Both classes are free.

Additionally, a Sibling Preparation class for children ages two through 10 will take place on Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This class is also free.

All classes are taught by a Grand Strand Regional Medical Center obstetrics nurse.
