Man dies after being pulled from the ocean near 71st Ave. in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A New Jersey man has died after drowning in the ocean Sunday afternoon in Myrtle Beach.
According to Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden, 70-year-old Michael Valentine, from Freehold, N.J., died at Grand Strand Medical Center Sunday following the incident on the beach near 71st Avenue North.
The death has been ruled an accident drowning, according to McSpadden. Myrtle Beach police are investigating.
