HCFR: Crews called to estimated 15-acre woods fire

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A woods fire was reported in Horry County on Saturday afternoon.
Horry County Fire Rescue said that at around 2:30 pm, the agency was called to the area of Long Branch Swamp Road and Highway 9 in Green Sea.
At 4:40 pm crews said the estimated 15-acre fire is fully contained.
No structures are currently threatened.
The South Carolina Forestry Commission is assisting with two plows.
People may see smoke and a firefighter response in the area for an extended duration.
