CVS off Highway 501 in Horry County evacuated again after gas leak

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Conway-area pharmacy was once again evacuated Sunday night.

Horry County Fire Rescue was called around 6:35 p.m. to reports of a gas leak at the CVS on the 2,000 block of East Highway 501 near Myrtle Ridge Drive.

“Crews will be securing the source, monitoring and ventilating the structure, with utility crews en route to help,” HCFR said.

CVS was evacuated as a precaution, which also happened during another gas leak call at the business Saturday morning.

No injuries were reported in either call.

Myrtle Ridge Drive near the CVS is closed for the response.
