Waves of Praise Gospel Fest returning to Grand Strand
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An annual free Gospel festival is returning to Myrtle Beach on Thursday.

Officials said the seventh annual Myrtle Beach Waves of Praise Gospel Festival kicks off on Aug. 28 with the Jump Off Concert at 6:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive AME Church, 1108 Carver Street.
The main festival is Aug. 29 and 30, at the Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place at 812 North Ocean Boulevard.

- Anthony Brown
- The Walls Group
- Lisa Knowles-Smith & The Brown Singers
Organizers said that former headline artist Donnie McClurkin will not be able to attend the event this year.
The festival also features local, regional gospel artists, food, arts and crafts vendors, activities for the kids and more.
Organizers said that there is a clear bag policy and attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable items to donate to those in need.
