Horry County Fire Rescue increasing fireboat usage for summer season
HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - Horry County Fire Rescue says this weekend begins its summer boat program.
The agency said it will increase the utilization of its fireboat based out of their Little River Station 2.
Crews will reportedly be on patrol in our waterways to provide fire suppression, emergency medical and rescue services to our boaters
They said they will also be out educating on water and boating safety.
The program will run through Labor Day.
If you experience a water emergency make sure to call 911 and transmit a distress call on VHF Channel 16.
