Authorities make arrest in 1 of 2 shootings in Georgetown County
PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WMBF) – Authorities are investigating two shootings that happened in Georgetown County.
According to information from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, one shooting happened at an establishment on Annie Rainey Road in the Pawleys Island community before 5 a.m. Friday.
Authorities said that one person died as a result of the shooting.
Georgetown County Coroner Chase Ridgeway identified the victim as 22-year-old Randolph Neville from Georgetown.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should call the GCSO at (843) 546-5102.
Also in Georgetown County, one person is in custody for a shooting in the Dunbar community that happened Thursday night.
Deputies arrested 77-year-old Monroe Cole and charged him with attempted murder after investigators said he shot his wife at their home on Handy Hill Drive.
The victim is being treated at the hospital.
Authorities said the two shootings are not connected to one another.
Within the city limits of Georgetown, police were called early Friday morning after two homes were hit with gunfire.
