FIRST ALERT: Quick-hitting round of showers and storms

Even in a milder climate, brisk ocean winds and damp air create sharp wind chills.

Horry Electric Cooperative recommends sealing air leaks around windows and doors to keep cold air out.

As temperatures drop, the risk of house fires and carbon monoxide exposure can increase.

Unseasonably warm weather and climbing humidity will dominate through the end of the workweek before an approaching cold front brings showers.

Headed to the polls? There's no concerns weather wise today! Warm weather continues through the middle of the week before our next chance for rain late-week.
