RAW: Kids hand out snacks to those stuck in traffic

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – The youth of an area church are doing what they can to make the traffic jam on U.S. 501 heading into Conway a little more bearable.

Viewer Cady Andrews sent in video and photos of members of Seacoast Church, located right before the S.C. 544 and U.S. 501 Business merger, giving out free water and snacks to those stuck in traffic.

Andrews said via Facebook Messenger she had been on U.S. 501 since 10:30 a.m. Friday and had just made it to the merger at 1:15 p.m.

She had kind words for the youth and their "simple, kind gesture."

"When I saw the kids running up to the cars I was just so thankful to see them happily handing out water and snacks to those stuck in traffic," Andrews said. "It's just so heartwarming to see random acts of kindness happening all around the community during a time like this. And I was definitely thankful for the cold water from them!"
