HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Some swimmers at the Myrtle Beach State Park found themselves in close proximity to a shark over the weekend.

Local man Terry Egan posted photos on his Facebook that show the fin of a black-tip shark that was swimming very close to shore.

In the Facebook post, Egan said he felt something rub up against him while in the ocean. Moments later, the fin was spotted.

"We all high-step ran for the beach," Egan wrote.

One photo showed all the swimmers out of the water. There were no reports of any injuries.

"What a way to end Shark Week!!!" Egan wrote.
