Four men charged with murder in connection to bodies found in burned SUV

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Four men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to two burned bodies found Friday off Butler Road in Socastee.

Michael W. Faile, 37, has been charged with two counts of murder. David L. Cook, 44, of Little River has also been charged with two counts of murder as well as arson and drug charges. William D. Tatum, 37, of Myrtle Beach has been charged with two counts of murder in addition to arson and drug charges. Zachary Stell, 31, of Myrtle Beach was the last to be served warrants but has also been charged with two counts of murder.

Captain John Harrelson with HCPD, the Coroner's Office and MUSC are still attempting to identify the the victims through forensic methods. According to Horry County Coroner Michelle McSpadden both victims were male but the process of identifying the victims was made difficult due to the condition of the remains.

Harrelson says the drug charges came about as a result of the investigation.
