AYNOR, SC (WMBF) - It's game 1 of the playoffs between Aynor and West Florence.
As golden hour sets in, the fans file in and Head Coach, Keaton Capps, takes his seat. The Blue Jackets try to accomplish something they've never done before; win a legion title.
"Most of these guys have been playing together since they were 5, 6 years old," Capps says. "I've got a bunch of kids who were on the 13 and 14 year old team that made a run towards it last year and ended up falling short. As far as this group, I don't think we've ever put a title together."
But the star player...unrelated to the coach is closer to him than most would think.
"Keegan's Dad coached me when I was at Dixie Hue. I remember when he was born, and now the fact that I get to coach him after his Dad coached me, I can't say enough about him."
Krasula, excited before the game, still finds a way to talk about old stories.
"My older brother used to play with Keaton so he tells me all the stories about how they used to play," he said.
Love for the game coming full circle as they try to accomplish the dream.
"It's just all about each other. It's not about what's out there," Krasula says. "We want to bring a Championship back to Aynor and everybody understands that.
With a 14 to 2 victory, they're one game closer with the best of 3 series continuing tomorrow.
