MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A roach, flies and dead bugs were found at a couple of spots, while a perfect score was registered at a place you may go for burgers.
We've got your dining details covered in this week's Restaurant Scorecard.
Up first is the Applebee's at 7915 N. Kings Hwy. in Myrtle Beach. State health inspectors gave them 81 out of 100 points recently. They said they found consecutive violations of a roach seen on a wall, as well as seeing several dead bugs.
Inspectors also reported knives had debris on them and they said foods were stored at improper temperatures. They also noted the ice machine was pouring water on the floor, among other violations.
An 84 goes to the Wendy's at 95 S. Kings Hwy. in North Myrtle Beach. Some of the problems inspectors noted was the ceiling vent cover was missing in the kitchen and a ceiling tile had water damage and mildew on it.
Looking for chips and tacos? Nacho Hippo at 850 N. Beach Blvd. in North Myrtle Beach scored an 88. Inspectors took off points for the presence of flies in the kitchen and mildew accumulation at an ice machine. They also said the exterior of chip containers had excessive buildup, as well as a leaking sink.
Finally, if the classic burger and French fries is calling your name, inspectors gave a perfect 100 to Five Guys Burgers and Fries at 1772 Pine Island Road in Myrtle Beach.
