FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Once again, pianos will be scattered all across the City of Florence, and it's all in an effort to create unity.

This event is called "Play Me, I'm Yours".

The Reynolds Williams, Willcox, Buyck & Williams Foundation is behind the push.

Right now, those pianos are being repaired and repainted for their debut, which is scheduled for next Friday.

You'll find painted pianos featuring various artwork outside of restaurants, entertainment venues and gathering places.

The organizers say they hope that people who would have never crossed paths come together and get to know one another.

"It's to bring art and people and the pianos all together. We have a piano they play, people can sit down and play it, so it's a very active interactive art project," Project Manager Roger Malfatti said.

This is an international effort that has been in Florence for the last couple of years.
