Report: Man stole woman’s purse at gunpoint, fled the scene

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man pointed a gun at a woman at her home, grabbed her purse, and fled from the scene located on 21st Avenue South on Monday, according to Myrtle Beach's police report.
The victim told police that she was taking groceries out of her car and taking them into her home. When she came back out to grab more items, a man came around the corner and told her to "freeze" as he pointed his gun at her.
The suspect then ran into the garage and grabbed her pocket book off of the stairs, and took off south bound on Yaupon Drive, according to the report.
A Myrtle Beach police sergeant and detective were notified and responded to the scene.
This incident is currently under investigation.
