MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) An unsettled path as we head into the end of the year with near-record warmth continuing through Thursday. Temperatures over the next few days will start off the warmest today and drop a notch each day through Thursday. Staying in the 70s through the period.

New Year's Eve looks wet during the day with a gradual cooling through the night. Falling in the upper 40s to low 50s with an isolated shower possible. Most should stay dry. We see signs of change for New Year's Day. Highs will only be in the mid 50s with an isolated shower and clouds lingering.

We eventually clear out and see a long lasting duration of seasonal weather hold through the weekend and into early next week. Clear skies and sunshine to accompany as well.
