MB Police and fire respond to suspicious vehicle fire Tuesday
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police officers responded to 306 Cedar St. Tuesday morning in reference to a suspicious vehicle fire that happened when the victims were sleeping, according to police reports.
Upon arriving, officers said both victims didn't see or hear anyone in the area prior to awakening, they woke up to loud popping sounds coming from the Chevy Astro Van.
One of the victims told police he doesn't have any enemies, and hasn't been involved in any arguments with anyone. He said all of his work tools were in the back of the van and estimated the price value of $5000, and the value of the van approximately $1800.
Reports say the fire department determined the fire was suspicious, however, they weren't able to determine arson.
According to police, two residents in the area have video surveillance.
