DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler southeast of Hartsville Tuesday evening, according to authorities.
The victims were identified as 27-year-old Romar Barlow and 22-year-old Emily Jackson, both from Hartsville, according to Darlington County Coroner J Todd Hardee.
The accident occurred at about 7:20 p.m. on Highway 15 and Swift Creek Road, a South Carolina Highway Patrol official said. A car on Swift Creek Road disregarded a stop sign and was hit by the tractor-trailer. Both people in the car died, the official confirmed.
Coroner Todd Hardee said the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT team is investigating. No charges are expected to be filed.
