HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The 22nd birth date of missing woman Heather Elvis was celebrated Tuesday at Peachtree Landing.
A vigil was scheduled 6-8 p.m. The public was invited.
WMBF News spoke with the Elvis family about coping without Heather as another year passes.
Though Heather Elvis has been missing for more than a year, her family says they still have hope.
Debbi Elvis, Heather's mother, said she is confident someone knows something about the disappearance of her daughter.
She asks those people to understand where the family stands right now, without answers.
"We're able to grieve in the fact that we are missing Heather, and that she's not here. But that's as far as we can go," Debbi admitted.
In addition, the family of missing woman Brittanee Drexel attended the vigil.

The goal was to also focus on the CUE Center since there are still dozens of missing people from the Palmetto State.
