SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Two Myrtle Beach suspects have been arrested after police said they broke into a restaurant in Surfside Beach.

Michael David Stanley, 44, of Myrtle Beach and Marcelus Bethea, 17, of Myrtle Beach were charged with second-degree burglary, criminal conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools, said Surfside Beach Police Chief Rodney Keziah.

After an alarm sounded at LAZERS Pizza early Tuesday morning, police officers said they saw "a suspicious vehicle leaving the area with items in the trunk of the car."

The suspects were stopped shortly after at a traffic stop on Highway 17 Business, police said.

The items in the trunk were positively identified by the business owner as stolen during the burglary.
