FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Three tobacco barns were destroyed by a fire Monday night in the Olanta Community of Florence County, according to Olanta Fire Chief Jimmy Coker.
The fire was discovered in the last stage of the curing process around 9 p.m. at the corner of Olanta Highway and Myers Road.
Chief Coker said a burner in the barn may have malfunctioned causing the fire.
