Defense attorney requests evidence from state in Heather Elvis case
HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Evidence from the state, regarding the Heather Elvis case, has been requested by a defense attorney representing the man accused of kidnapping and murdering the 20-year-old.
Kirk Truslow, attorney for Sidney Moorer, filed the motion for a judge to move an order "compelling the state to produce evidence," the document states.
The motion to compel discovery was filed Tuesday, September 2.
Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said he doesn't expect a hearing will be needed for the motion. He said the office will provide the defense with the requests.
