Conway PD responds to assault, possible shots fired

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The Conway Police Department responded to an assault early Friday morning, to find a victim with a broken cheek bone, according to Lieutenant Selena Small with CPD.

At around 1:30 a.m. officers responded to the North Oaks Apartments off Oak Street in Conway, according to Small. The victim had been assaulted, but he was not shot. The victim had a broken cheek bone, numerous scrapes to his face, and to the knuckles on his left hand.

A witness did tell police that shots were fired, according to the police report.

The CPD said a possible suspect is a black male in his teens. Stick with WMBF News for the latest.
