Loris man knocks out victim twice, steals car and guns

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Loris man has been arrested after a man said he tried to kill him.

David Dixon, 32, was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and grand larceny, according to Horry County police.

The victim said Dixon snuck up behind him and hit him in the head with a metal pipe, according to a police report.

The victim said he was knocked unconscious twice and when he woke up, Dixon was pointing a rifle at the victim's head.

Several other guns that belong to the victim were taken by Dixon and loaded into the victim's car, the police report states. Dixon took the guns and the car, after he dropped the victim off at the victim's daughter's house.

The victim suffered a broken hand and had to get 12 stitches to close a gash in his head.

Dixon was arrested Wednesday and remains behind bars.
