Surfside elects 2 council members, will take runoff to find third

SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Votes have been tallied in the Surfside Beach town council election, but the results are unofficial until Thursday.

Former councilman Bob Childs will regain his seat on council, with 392 votes.

David Pellegrino, who received 415 unofficial votes, will join town council.

A run-off election will most likely take place between former councilman Sammy Truett and Ralph Magliette. That announcement will be made when the votes are certified. The election would be on April 22, if necessary.

Candidates have until Thursday, April 10 to challenge these numbers:
