Highway 22 reopen after vehicle fire Monday morning

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A vehicle fire on Highway 22 shut down westbound traffic at mile marker 13 Monday morning, near the intersection with Highway 19. The road has since reopened.
According to a South Carolina Highway Patrol listing, the incident occurred at about 7:05 a.m. at a location northeast of Conway.
A viewer sent a photo of the smoking vehicle on the side of the road with firefighters working the scene.
Both lanes were shut down for a period Monday morning, and the roadway has since reopened.
