A day of tail-wagging fun planned on April 27 for dog lovers

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) – Community members are invited to attend the Canine Carnival and Rescue Day, held at A Dog's Way Inn on Saturday, April 27.

A news release says there is no charge to attend the event, and friendly dogs of all ages are invited to attend. It will take place from 11:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.

The family-friendly, fun-filled event with participatory contests and demonstrations will feature tic-tac-toe, best trick, ask the trainer, dog agility clinics, ugliest dog, best K9 kisser, best jumper, musical plates, obedience rally and much more.

The event will also showcase and benefit pet rescues from Georgetown to Myrtle Beach, with a special area for visiting potential best friends. Anyone adopting this day will be offered a discount for future dog training by Happy K9 Academy.

The Dog's Way Inn is located at 761 Pendergrass Ave. in Murrells Inlet.
