Local Veteran's Day events, specials

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Veteran's Day is Sunday and many local organizations are holding ceremonies and area businesses are offering special deals to honor the nation's service men and women.

Ceremonies:

Surfside Beach

Sunday, Nov. 11, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Surfside Beach is holding their Veteran's Day Service at the Veteran Memorial in Fuller Park. For more information contact Debbie Ellis at 650-9548.

Fuller Park is located on the corner of Surfside Drive and Myrtle Beach Drive in Surfside Beach.

North Myrtle Beach

Sunday, Nov. 11, 10:30 a.m. - North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens is hosting a Veterans service.

North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens is located on Highway 90, south of Highway 17 Bypass

Florence

A ceremony will be held Sunday, Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. at the Florence Civic Center.

Conway

Veterans can enjoy a free breakfast at 8 a.m., and a free lunch following the Memorial Service at 11 a.m.

Myrtle Beach

NASCAR SpeedPark 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.- NASCAR SpeedPark to host the second annual Celebrate our Heroes. Veterans will receive complimentary wristbands and active military and their families will receive a $4 discount off every wristband. NASCAR SpeedPark and the PARC Foundation will make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project as part of this event.

Nascar SpeedPark is located at 1820 21st Ave. North Ext. in Myrtle Beach.

Sunday Specials:

Applebee's is offering a free meal with military ID or proof of service. Veterans will have the choice of one of seven entrees. Beverage and gratuity not included.

Hooters is offering 10 free boneless wings with a drink purchase for all veteran and active duty military. Military ID or proof of service required.

Local participating Hooters located at 10122 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach and 3901 N. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach.

Olive Garden

All veterans and active duty military are invited to enjoy one of six free entrees. Offer valid with proof of service.

Olive Garden is located at 1405 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach

Chili's

With a valid military ID you can enjoy a free meal from a limited menu and $5 desserts, all day

Monday Deals:

Texas Roadhouse

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Texas Roadhouse in Myrtle Beach invites area military veterans and active duty military to enjoy a free lunch. All veterans can enjoy one of 10 entrees and two made-from-scratch sides with a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet or iced tea or coffee. Proof of service required.

Texas Roadhouse is located at 3037 S Highway 17, Murrells Inlet.

Denny's

6 a.m. to 2 p.m.- Denny's is offering all you can eat pancakes for all military personnel, active or retired, with valid military ID or proof of military service.

Local Denny's restaurants located at: 800 S. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach; 1200 U.S. 17 Business, Surfside Beach; 124 Loyola Dr., Myrtle Beach.

Golden Corral

4 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Golden Corral is holding their 12th Annual Military Appreciation Monday event. All military heroes are invited for a free meal.

Local Golden Corral's located at 868 Oak Forest Lane, Myrtle Beach and 10600 Kings Road, Myrtle Beach.

Cheeseburger in Paradise

Veterans and active duty military members will eat free, with an ID.

TGI Friday's

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. military members, past and present, can enjoy a free lunch.
