ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - An incident in one building at the Robeson Community College Thursday placed the entire campus under lock down.

Lumberton Police told WMBF News affiliate, WRAL, that campus security and their office are working together to investigate reports that a man bearing a gun was in the school's Health and Sciences building Thursday morning.

By 12:45 p.m., approximately half of the school was cleared.

The man in question was reported to have a gun by the school's Nursing Department around 11:30 a.m., and may be wearing a grey hoodie. The man reportedly pointed a gun through an open door into a classroom, and fled after one student screamed.
