Driver killed in Highway 544 crash identified

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) One man died Sunday, hours after being involved in a traffic accident in Horry County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the person who died was driving east on Highway 544 Sunday afternoon in a 1996 Ford Sport Utility Vehicle.

At around 12:45 p.m., the SUV crossed the center of the road when the driver lost control, and a 1998 Chevrolet SUV traveling west crashed into the driver's door of the Ford SUV, according to Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Ford SUV died hours later at a local hospital. The Horry County Coroner's Office identified that driver as 36-year-old Keith Bramley from Myrtle Beach.

An autopsy determined Bramley died from trauma received during the automobile crash.
