MPBD: Man stabbed walking home with groceries

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Myrtle Beach Police are searching for two men that reportedly stabbed a man walking home with his groceries.

In a police report obtained by WMBF News, a male victim reported to police that he was walking home through the wooded lot behind shopping center near the 1000 block of Highway 501 around 9:30 p.m. Friday night when he was approached by two men calling him "Johnny."

The victim said he continued walking and told the suspects that his name was not "Johnny."

The report then states that one of the suspects struck the victim from behind and a struggle ensued. The victim said he was stabbed above his left armpit after he was forced to the ground.

The victim said the suspects then emptied his pockets and left the scene.

The report states that suspects stole the victim's wallet and cell phone.

Those suspects were described by the victim as two thin black males.

The first suspect stands approximately five feet, six inches tall weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He was reportedly wearing blue jean shorts, a white T-shirt and a dark New York Yankees hat.

The second suspect stands approximately six feet tall, weighing 200 pounds and had a beard. He was reportedly wearing black cargo shorts and a white shirt.

Any information about this incident should be reported to the Myrtle Beach Police Department as soon as possible.
