Police crews respond to another bus crash in Horry Co.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Myrtle Beach Police and Fire crews are responding to a motor vehicle accident involving a school bus, the third bus accident in two days in our area.

The website for Myrtle Beach Police reports that Myrtle Beach Police are responding to a crash on Highway 501 northbound at the entrance to Highway 17 south in Myrtle Beach that occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday.

Captain David Knipes, spokesperson for Myrtle Beach Police, told WMBF News that the school bus was traveling north on Highway 501 when it was rear-ended by a car near the exit to Highway 17 South. No injuries are being reported right now.

Teal Britton, spokesperson for Horry County Schools, said that there were two children on the bus, and that bus was from a Myrtle Beach school.
