GREEN SEA, SC (WMBF) - A Horry County football coach has submitted his resignation from employment in Horry County, according to school officials.

Teal Britton, spokeswoman for Horry County Schools, told WMBF News that Green Sea Floyds High School's head football coach Joey Still submitted his resignation on Monday.

Still was also a biology teacher at Green Sea Floyds High School, according to Horry County Schools' website.

Details surrounding Still's resignation were not made available by school officials.

Britton said the school will post the opening for the head coaching position at the beginning of the second semester, likely meaning Wednesday, January 18th.

There is no word at this time if there are any candidates to replace Still as football coach.

Prior to taking over the Trojans, Still coached for four years at Barnwell High School.  During his two years at Green Sea he compiled a 7-13 record.
