Conway Police boast big numbers for Drug Take Back Day

CONWAY, SC On Saturday, the Conway Police Department joined the National Take Back Initiative and sponsored a "Prescription Drug Take Back Day" at the Walgreens located at 1601 Church Street in the city limits of Conway.
During this event approximately 47 pounds of unwanted prescription medication was turned in for destruction between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day addresses a vital public safety and public health issue, regarding the safe disposal of unwanted and unused prescription drugs.
