GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, at approximately 3:35AM this morning a car crash in Georgetown County led to one fatality.
The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was headed south on US-701 in a 2005 Honda Civic when the car ran off the left side of the road and into a guard rail and tree. Not wearing a seatbelt, the driver was thrown from the vehicle and was killed. The collision occurred about 19 miles north of Georgetown.
