Undercover operation at gentleman's clubs yields 9 arrests

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Horry County Police Department arrested nine people after an undercover prostitution sting in July 2011.

Sgt. Robert Kegler, spokesman for the Horry County Police Department, said detectives launched an investigation at various gentleman's clubs in Horry County and an online adult escort service known as backpage.com after officers received numerous complaints of prostitution.

Kegler said nine people were then arrested and charged in connection with the incidents as well as various drug and alcohol charges.

Those arrested are as follows:

  • Maquiria Daijanae Darby, 18, of Georgetown. Darby was charged with prostitution.
  • Rondella Edwina Bailey, 46, of Rocksberry, MA. Bailey was charged with prostitution.
  • Andrea Michelle Mickles, 26, of Douglasville, GA. Mickles was charged with prostitution and is out of jail on bond.
  • Jill Anne Figueroa, 35, of North Myrtle Beach. Figueroa was charged with prostitution and possession of schedule II pills.
  • Tammy Lynn Livingston, 40, of Myrtle Beach. Livingston was charged with prostitution.
  • Urban S. Oshea, 42, of Myrtle Beach. Oshea was charged with aiding and abetting prostitution and simple possession of marijuana.
  • Gina Margaret Laform, 46, of Myrtle Beach. Laform was charged with prostitution, simple possession of marijuana and open container and is out of jail on bond.
  • Alexis Gayle Hodges, 35, of Myrtle Beach. Hodges was charged with prostitution.
  • Nathan Soucier, 27, of Paradise Valley, AZ. He was issued a citation for aiding and abetting prostitution and was released on scene.
  • Further details surrounding the arrest and undercover operation were not immediately made available by officials.

    Those not released on bond remained incarcerated at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

    In July of 2012, Andrea Mickles was deemed not guilty of prostitution, and all charges against her were dropped.
