MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Republican Presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann will be making her way to Broadway at the Beach for a one-on-one with potential voters.

"Now I seek the presidency, not for vanity, but because America is at a crucial moment and I believe we must make a bold choice if we are to secure the promise of our future," said Bachmann during a speech in Iowa on Monday.

The Bachmann event is free to attend and open to the public. The event was originally set to be held at a local restaurant but organizers announced a new venue when more people showed interest in attending than once expected. Bachmann will make her appearance at 5 p.m. in front of Ripley's Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach.

"We want everyone to become an informed voter; we want people to study and pay attention to these candidates," explained Johnnie Bellamy, Chairwoman of the Horry County Republican Party.

Other candidates are expected to be making their way through the Grand Strand. Over the weekend, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum made a stop in Columbia.

"We can be very successful in defeating Barack Obama and put this county back on the path to prosperity and security that we want to leave for the next generation," voiced Santorum during a speech to supporters.
