Highway 33 interchange named in honor of James D. Haynes

COLUMBIA, SC – The South Carolina Highway Patrol announces the ceremony for the dedication of Highway 33 interchange in Orangeburg to Lance Cpl. James D. Haynes.

Haynes was a South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper who was killed in the line of duty on February 1, 2008.  Haynes was killed in Orangeburg County on SC Highway 33.

The dedication will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2 at Orangeburg Christian Academy.  The academy is located at 3769 Cameron Road in Orangeburg.
