MMJ / Reporter

Charlotte. NC

Caroline Hicks joined WBTV in September 2017. She is thrilled to be back in Charlotte where she went to middle and high school and where her parents still live! So far she has had the opportunity to cover countless breaking news stories, meet incredible people making a difference in the community, and do fun things like co-host the Thanksgiving Day Parade and ski down a mountain on live TV!

Before returning to Charlotte, Caroline spent six years in Texas. After graduating from Southern Methodist University, she began her reporting career at KETK-News in Tyler, Texas. During her time there she started her own weekly investigative segment, where she uncovered a ring of illegal gambling practices in the area.

When Caroline is not reporting she enjoys playing tennis, trying new restaurants in Charlotte and boating on the lake! She enjoys seeing the changes the city is going through after spending her middle and high school years living in the area and attending Charlotte Latin School.

Caroline is always looking for story ideas so if you have something to share, you can email her at chicks@wbtv.com! You can also follow her on Facebook at the Caroline Hicks WBTV page and on Twitter at @CarolineHicksTV.
