Man accused of stealing electric scooter, bike chargers on Coastal Carolina University campus
CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - A man is facing charges after allegedly stealing an electric scooter, bikes and multiple chargers from the campus of Coastal Carolina University.
Officers with the Coastal Carolina Police Department arrested Austin Stone, 20, on Oct. 27. Stone is facing 14 counts of larceny under $2,000 and six trespassing-related charges.

These charges stem from a slew of thefts near student housing on the university’s campus between Saturday, Oct. 18, and Monday, Oct. 20, according to warrants.
Warrants say Stone stole: five electric scooter chargers, an electric scooter, a bike, an electric bike and a bike lock.
University officials warned of electric scooter thefts back in early October.
Stone is currently being held at J Reuben Long Detention Center on $22,500 bond across the 20 charges.
Jail records show Stone was arrested on similar charges in August.
