Man killed in tractor accident when it slides down steep hill, flips

Town of Eden, Wis. (WMTV/Gray News) - Emergency responders were called to a rural property in Wisconsin last Sunday afternoon for a tractor rollover.

Officials said they found a man pinned under a tractor, who was later pronounced dead on the scene.

According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, the man was operating the tractor that afternoon with an attached mowing device on a steep hillside when it lost traction, slid down the hill and flipped, pinning him.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Highland Volunteer Fire Department and the Cobb Volunteer Fire Department.

Officials said that “out of respect for the victim’s family, the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending further family notifications.”

The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office is extending condolences to the man’s loved ones.
