Dispute between parent and bus driver leaves parent arrested, authorities say

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - A dispute between a parent and a school bus driver has left one person arrested on Saturday.

On Friday Darlington County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a dispute between a school bus driver and a student’s parent at the bus stop.

Hector Isaac was arrested and charged with interfering with the operation of a school bus.

Warrants state Isaac aggressively snatched on the door of the stopped the school bus attempting to get on after a verbal altercation with the driver about the door not opening for his son.

The bus driver driver drove away to protect the safety of the students as well as himself. Issac then followed the bus with his car on the road before passing and stopping in front of it in the roadway causing the bus to stop, warrants say.

Issac is currently awaiting a bond hearing at W. Glenn Campell Center.
