Warrant: Ex-Coastal Carolina QB had gun inside on-campus dorm room
CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - New documents obtained by WMBF News are shedding more light on an ex-Coastal Carolina quarterback’s October arrest.
An arrest warrant for 18-year-old Doran “DJ” Moore states officers with the Coastal Carolina University Police Department found a Glock 9mm in his dorm room during a probable cause search on Oct. 17.

A police report also states officers found over 20 grams of a “green leafy substance,” two glass bongs, a box of Beatbox alcoholic drinks, cigars and a fake ID inside the dorm room.
The search resulted in Moore’s arrest and booking at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Records show he’s been out on a nearly $2,000 bond since Oct. 18.
CCU head coach Tim Beck confirmed earlier this month that Moore is no longer with the program. Beck did not provide any more details, adding he was “not at liberty” to speak further about the situation.
