FIRST ALERT: Dry & mild weekend with cooler weather ahead
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Don’t let the clouds fool you today. We’re giving you the First Alert to brighter skies and a beautiful weekend before a cold front brings even cooler weather next week.
THIS WEEKEND
High pressure provides a comfortable and quiet forecast through the weekend. While we may have a few clouds Saturday morning, those should quickly clear out of here, providing for a rain-free forecast with plenty of sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
With this being the first weekend in October, we have plenty of events happening. Get outside and soak up the sunshine!
FALL FRONT ON THE WAY
The excitement is in the air with a significant fall cold front expected to move through the area late Monday. The front looks to be rather dry, but we will need to keep an eye on that over the weekend. If anything, the best chance for a shower would be inland. Behind that front, much cooler and less humid weather will settle in, making for a very true fall feel.
Early data continues to point at morning temperatures in the middle and upper 50s by late next week with afternoons in the low-mid 70s. We’ll keep an eye on it.
