Child, woman hurt in early morning shooting in Longs
HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - An investigation is underway into a shooting that left two people hurt in Longs.
The Horry County Police Department said the shooting happened just before 5 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Sandridge Loop.
A relative says one of the victims told WMBF News one of them is a seven-year-old and the other is a woman in her 60s.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital, their conditions are unknown at this time.
This shooting comes two days after another shooting near Pint Circle, just off Highway 90 also in the Longs area.
WMBF News has reported on several other violent incidents around Pint Circle. One of those incidents was a shooting at Popular Park in May that hurt three people, one of which was shot in the head.
Following those incidents, Horry County police said they would increase patrol in those areas but have not said if the incidents are related.
There is no word on whether any arrests have been made.
