GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - Georgetown County deputies are searching for a man they said lied about a shooting earlier Wednesday morning.

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation into the shooting after the man being treated at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital told investigators he’d been shot walking home from a friend’s house in the Parsons Garden area.

Investigators have determined the man, 27-year-old Charles Dylan Lowrimore, shot himself and lied to deputies.

GCSO is now searching for Lowrimore who faces charges of filing a false report.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 843-546-5102.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Lowrimore has been in trouble with law enforcement.

About a month ago, police arrested the 27-year-old after he was accused of opening fire outside of 3001 Nightlife on Lake Arrowhead Road. A report showed that the bullet grazed a woman who was standing outside of the club.

Lowrimore has been out of jail since March 5 when he posted a $45,000 bond.
